During 2020, we started dreaming about finding a place of our own. We spent months searching, visiting properties, and working with a realtor, using Yellow House as our benchmark, but nothing felt quite right. Eventually, we paused our search and assumed the right property simply wasn't out there.

Then, in October 2020, we received an alert for a property for sale on Whippoorwill Road. That caught our attention immediately because Yellow House was on Whippoorwill Road. As soon as we looked closer, we realized Yellow House was the neighboring property.

It was not long before we submitted our offer along with a letter explaining just how meaningful and unexpected this discovery felt to us. Whether it was the offer, the letter, or a little bit of both, we'll never know, but we were thrilled when it was accepted.

From the moment we took ownership, 4Trees felt like it was meant to be.

Yellow House, aka Whippoorwill Manor Farm, is still available as a vacation rental. For larger gatherings, many guests find that renting both properties creates the perfect setup: close enough to be together, with enough space for everyone to spread out and relax.

What started as a tradition with friends eventually became a place we are fortunate enough to share with others. Every time a guest creates memories here, it reminds us why we fell in love with this special corner of the mountains in the first place.
